Лучшее издание Игры престолов на английском языке!
Минусы
На иллюстрациях, мне кажется, сложно уловить похожесть одних и тех же героев. Джон, например, везде разный - но сильно, а по каким-то чертам лица. Хотя возможно мне кажется. Или художники разные. Я догадывалась всегда по изображённой ситуации или по тому, о каких героях идёт речь идёт в главе, если по ситуации непонятно.

1. На английском - не адаптированный текст, т.к. слышала, Дж.Мартин пишет и просто и изящно - на этих книгах хорошо расчитываться, будет не сложно и при этом море удовольствия - и от собственно текста, и от мысли, что ты читаешь ОРИГИНАЛ!
2. В твердом переплете. Это большая проблема в России - очень сложно найти книги на английском не в мягком переплете. А мне очень хотелось, чтобы книга не пострадала от моей к ней любви и частого чтения. И удивилась очень, что такое шикарное издание есть на Читай-городе, когда даже на Амазоне оно в очень небольшом количестве! Это просто чудо! В других местах в России этой книги нет тем более.
3. Иллюстрации!!! Ч/б перед каждой главой (а глав в этой книге МНОГО) и ЦВЕТНЫЕ - просто в середине то тут, то там. При том что даже издание с твердым переплётом найти сложно, а тут ещё и иллюстрации! Просто чудо, а не издание!
4. Страницы плотные.
5. Увесистая книжка (для меня плюс, но держать на весу тяжеловато).
6. Рисунки в большей степени следуют за книгой в плане внешности героев, чем фильм - например, Дейенерис в сцене где рождаются драконы лысая, как в книге (в фильме волосы не сгорели). Но при этом некоторые герои на рисунках похожи на актеров (например, Арья. Но актриса очень похожа на книжную Арью).
