Читала эту книгу и в оригинале и в переводе. В оригинале читать всегда интереснее. Необычный сюжет, хоть и не новый. Есть интрига, потом быстр все понятно, но всё-равно не знаешь, чем закончится. История про ученого, который работал над теорией параллельных вселенных, и сам испытал это на себе и увидел, что было бы, если бы в прошлом он поступил как-то иначе. Научная фантастика, научная работа и личная жизнь героя хорошо переплетены между собой. Заставляет задуматься, что было бы, если бы мы поступили иначе.

Любопытная книга про «другие миры», отличающиеся от обычного лишь в деталях, в исторических поворотных моментах. Что-то в стиле «Время и снова время» Бена Элтона, только здесь герою приходилось сражаться не только с последствиями исторических поворотов, но и с альтернативным самим собой.
Издание очень хорошее. Шершавая бумага (не слишком тонкая), матовая обложка, крепкий переплёт. Книга не разваливается, читать удобно. Мне удалось заказать её со скидкой за 650 рублей – для зарубежного издания цена отличная, внешний вид был просто идеальный (книга пришла со склада). Сейчас на момент написания отзыва книга стоит 1500, на мой взгляд дороговато для триллера в тонкой обложке.
