Endymion
Это потрясающая книга для любителей приключений в мире научной фантастики с традиционными для жанра космическими / временными путешествиями, борьбой с инопланетными монстрами и попыткой спасти мир. Эндимион всеобъемлюще раскрывает созданную Симмонсом реальность будущего, но сюжетно всё сводится только лишь к противостоянию двух сторон, и лично для меня Эндимион всё-таки немного не дотягивает по крутизне до первых двух книг по Гипериону.

Эндимион - третья новелла в цикле Гиперион Дэна Симмонса, являющая собой органичное продолжение первых двух повестей. Эта часть ничуть не менее, а может, и более динамичная; читателя ждут множество различных уникальных миров, путешествия во времени и пространстве, и (наряду со старыми, знакомыми по Гипериону) новые харизматичные герои и антагонисты. Книга рекомендуется поклонникам творчества Симмонса и всем любителям классической научной фантастики.
Минусы
Пожалуй, сложно воспринимать это как отдельное произведение в отрыве от цикла. Для того, чтобы понимать, что происходит, нужно прочитать предыдущие два Гипериона, а затем неизбежно придется читать Восход Эндимиона...
