Книга пришла в отличном состоянии. Сразу можно отметить приятный дизайн мягкой обложки, увенчанный золотистым изображением титульного насекомого. В содержании же выдаются отличный юмор, колоритные детали жизни середины прошлого века и запоминающиеся персонажи. Автор переносит читателя из унылого мира Англии послевоенного времени в красочные джунгли Новой Каледонии по следам экспедиции за мифологическим золотым жуком. Невероятное путешествие двух главных героинь раскрывает ценность мечты, дружбы и веры в себя. Было приятно увидеть обычную женщину за 40 в центре настоящего приключения, а загадочный золотой жук описан столь красочно, что и сам загораешься идеей мисс Бенсон разыскать это чудо природы.
