The memoirs of Boris Engelgardt – the life story of a whole generation, filled with portraits of contemporaries and a detailed description of the main events of the late XIX-XX centuries. Starting his memoirs from the entering in the Corps of Pages in 1877, he gradually wrote the whole history of Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, from the coronation of the Nikolas II to the end of the Civil War, emigration and Soviet epoch. In 1939, "Memoirs of the Page", covering the period from 1887 to 1896, were published in Riga. During his life, it was the only publication, but until the end of his days, Boris Engelgardt did not give up and hoped to publish them, making changes in his text. This publication of the memoirs of B. Engelgardt is first full commented edition and we are sure it will be interesting both for specialists and for a wide range of readers.

Воспоминания Бориса Александровича Энгельгардта – история жизни целого поколения, наполненная портретами современников и детальным описанием важнейших событий конца XIX – первой половины XX в.
