Книга пришла в хорошем состоянии. Мягкая, но достаточно крепкая обложка, плотные и желтоватые страницы с крупным текстом, красивое оформление. Сам роман понравился своим разнообразием, объединяя в себе черты готической литературы прошлого века, историй о темных временах охоты на ведьм и саркастических сериалов о трудностях современной жизни. Главные герои романа ищут себя в городе на берегу океана, который, как и эпонимная скала Басс, словно окаменел, замер во времени, переплетая судьбы и поколения в паутину, из которой так трудно вырваться.
