Слабее, чем самая популярная книга автора, но на один раз неплохо
Свою осознанную читательскую карьеру я начала с «Отбора» Киры Касс, которая навсегда оставила след у меня в душе. Именно поэтому купить и прочитать эту книгу было принципиально важно. Помимо этого, мне очень нравится слог автора. Я была уверена, что даже если книга мне мне прозвучит, я хотя бы наслажусь хорошим английским. В итоге так и вышло. Это явно было слабее «Отбора», как-то все скучно и слишком хорошо, но отдать должное языку и ‘королевской’ атмосфере. Тут нареканий нет. В принципе, если вы поклонник автора, книга может понравиться или стать хотя бы ‘проходным романчиком’ для отдыха после прочтения чего-то тяжелого. Но ожидать чуда не стоит, к сожалению :(
