Это моё первое знакомство с данным автором(Марио Пьюзо), честно говоря о других его романах я даже и не слышала. Книгу " Крёстный отец" приобрела по распродаже( дополнительное спасибо интернет- магазину Читай Город, помимо замечательной книги). Давно хотела прочитать этот роман в оригинале, т.к. до этого начала читать его адаптивный вариант, но поняла, что хочется в полном объеме. Сюжет романа захватывает с первых страниц и держит в напряжении до самого конца ( тем более, что я не смотрела нашумевшую экранизацию романа). Очень хорошо показана атмосфера того времени, борьба криминальных кланов, на алтарь которой приносится столько жертв(дружба, семья, любовь, да и сама жизнь). Хотя немного тяжело порой читать про кровавые разборки, но роман стоит того, чтобы прочесть.
