The Maleficent Seven
В первую очередь, меня, естественно, привлекло название книги – очевидно, это пародия на Великолепную семёрку (по-английски «The Magnificent Seven»), ну и тот факт, что это фэнтези (уточнение: тёмное фэнтези) стал решающим. Сюжет супер-простой (семь героев должны победить злых фанатиков) и, наверно, некоторым покажется банальным, но вряд ли вы много где встретите такую разношёрстную компанию героев: демонолог, орк, вампир, некромант, полубог, королева пиратов и сумасшедший учёный. На мой взгляд, это отличная книга, в достаточной мере тёмная и кровавая, с хорошо проработанными персонажами и уникальным миром.
