Welcome is a three-level beginner's course for children learning English. Welcome 3 finds Oscar in Edinburgh where he has moved with his family. There, he meets a new group of friends and becomes a reporter for the school magazine, The Welcome Weekly. Oscar and his new friends invite pupils to join in the fun and explore the English language through lively dialogues and exciting situations. All these thrilling adventures are captured in full colour and are accompanied by action-packed CDs/cassettes. Welcome 3 consists of six modules of three units each, with songs, language 'twisters', games and writing tasks. Each unit is divided into two lessons where all four skills are thoroughly practised. -Welcome 3 combines English language learning with interesting topics. The language is always presented in context, either through lively dialogues or enjoyable articles. New vocabulary is presented at the beginning of each unit. Grammar is clearly presented and practised in every unit giving young learners a sense of achievement through moderate grading of the syllabus. There are six Modular Revision and Assessment sections, one after every module, that recycle vocabulary and grammar. There is also a 'Culture Clip' section at the end of the book providing an insight into British culture. At the end of the book is The Welcome Weekly booklet where the writing tasks of all the units are given in the form of articles for a magazine.
